Professor of the University Habilitated Doctor Anna Weronika Brzezińska, has been acting as the Director of the School since October 17, 2023.
She is an employee of the Institute of Anthropology and Ethnology of the Faculty of Anthropology and Cultural Studies. She seats in the University’s Senate in the 2020-2024 term and is a member of the Senate Committee for Communication and Social Responsibility. Co-author of Józef Burszta Digital Archive, editor of Wikipedia. She has been the President of the Polish Ethnological Society since 2019. She is the editor-in-chief of the publishing series “Atlas of Polish Folk Costumes”. She has been the President of Oskar Kolberg Institute Association since 2020. She chairs the boards of directors of the District Museum in Konin and the District Museum of the Kalisz Region. Graduate of the Małopolska People’s University in Wzdów (2002), postgraduate studies in cultural marketing at the University of Warsaw (2012) and the Vocational Qualification Course (MOD03 qualification: tailor, 2022). Scholar of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2014) and the Marshal of the Greater Poland Province (2019). She conducts research on the protection of intangible cultural heritage, social contexts of wearing folk costumes, animation and activation of local communities, and social and cultural memory.
